CARNIVAL FLOATS PARADE – 15 MARCH
On Thursday 27 February, at 9 p.m., at the Don Bosco Theatre in Chioggia, ‘El conte 
dei sospiri’ (The Count of Sighs) will make its debut, a brilliant comedy in Venetian dialect that marks the Piccolo Teatro Città di Chioggia’s first event on the occasion of its 80th anniversary. The play, based on an eighteenth-century canovaccio and adapted into prose, is a homage to the Veneto theatre tradition, reproposed with a new look by director Lucio Rossetti. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Chioggia and is part of the project ‘Tempo di leggere. Dieci diritti per un piacere ritrovato’ (Ten rights for a rediscovered pleasure), part of Chioggia’s candidature for the title of Book Capital 2025, promoted by culture councillor Elena Zennaro. Tickets for the performance are available at the price of €10 for the full, unnumbered ticket, while the reduced ticket, valid for the under-18s, over-65s, disabled and accompanying persons, costs €8.
