The 2026 Venice Carnival dedicated to the Milan-Cortina Olympics
The 2026 Venice Carnival, scheduled from 31 January to 17 February, celebrates the Olympic year with a theme announced by the mayor of Venice that intertwines history, art and sport in a tribute to the universal power of play and challenge.
‘Olympus – Alle origini del gioco / At the origins of the game’ is a title that refers to mythology and the harmony of body and mind, but also to the Venice of centuries past, where Carnival was a great stage for competitions, acrobatic performances and tests of collective skill, anticipating the spirit of the modern Olympics.
